The Yacht-Deck Humidor: A Better Packing Discipline
Salt air, sun and motion make a handsome cigar case work harder than it does on land.

A day on the water is a hostile environment for cigars: heat swings, direct sun, salt air and an open case can erase careful storage quickly. The elegant answer is not a larger presentation box. It is a smaller, well-sealed travel case opened only when needed.
Pack by the session, keep the case shaded and dry, and separate cutters and lighters so metal edges cannot damage wrappers. Never use or light tobacco where the vessel operator, marina or local law prohibits it; wind and fuel systems make common sense non-negotiable.
The point is disciplined hospitality. Bring fewer cigars in better condition, provide a clear ash plan and leave the deck cleaner than you found it.
