Why this room leads the file

Rich's carries rare continuity—an old Portland tobacconist with a real indoor lounge—making history and practical access equally important to the pick.

This is a source-based editorial assessment, not a claim of a recent anonymous visit. TPCC selected the venue as a useful starting point from its documented room, service and access profile; we do not reproduce third-party stars or customer reviews. A numeric lounge rating appears only after a documented in-person TPCC evaluation.
